Christmas tree hunt....

As usual we headed up the mountain for trees this year and we had yet another successful trip!

It wasn't snowing when we got there and there wasn't even much of it on the ground, which makes it nice for hunting for the perfect tree. We ended up getting a beautiful tree that fits perfect in our little apartment! It is our favorite tree yet! (Will post pics of it soon) It did however start snowing just as we were finishing up which was perfect because we were able to let Cory play in it for a while. He thought it was pretty neat but he definately let me know when he wanted to get out of his marshmellow suit!

Then of course he had to be right there helping us set up the tree and help his dad put the lights on...he thought he was helping anyways ;)

Gratitude

So my mother in law gave me a gratitude journal a few weeks ago and it has been heaven sent. I feel like i get in a rut at times and forget to think about all the positive things in my life. I have tried to sit down every day and write in it and it has really helped me stay positive and happy! I recommend it to anybody that needs a pick me up! Anyways since it is Thanksgiving here are a few things i am grateful for...

For my healthy happy beautiful baby boy! He makes me happy every day.

Jer works so hard for our little family. He does so much for us and for that I am so grateful! He is working so hard with school right now but we are so excited to be done...by August he will have his MBA! Yay! Thanks Jer.

My family! I love that I can live close to them, they help me out alot. My mom can save my day in a second. I appreciate them so much.

My in laws- all of them! I love my mother and father in law. They have always been so supportive of us and helpful. I appreciate everything they do!

This is just a short list, very short. Hope everybody has a Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Birthday Cory

This day was so fun for Cory and us. It was crazy to think what I was doing a year ago that day. I would look at the clock and think, I was getting my epidural right now a year ago, I got to hold him for the first time a year ago... This year has flown by! He has been such a joy in our lives and we absolutely are in awe of him every day. A few things about him...
*He started walking at 9.5 months...way too early for his mom ;)
*He loves to be outside
*He absolutely hates that his dad has to go to work
*He loves to be right by my leg sometimes, even when I'm getting ready he will just park it on the floor and relax against my leg
*He has to yell at people who are far away
*I can ask him if he wants a drink or crackers and he usually answers "ya, ya, ya"
*He loves wrestling with his dad
*He is a great sleeper, always has been (I like to take credit for that even though it may not totally be my training skills that made it that way)
*He is totally FREAKED of the vacuum, even if its not on
*Words he says: "da" (dad), moo, "wu wu" (woof woof), teeh (cheese), num num, ba (blanket), and so on

He is amazing and I feel so blessed to have him!

Busy Boy

This is Cory when he is outside...happy! It's his favorite thing. I can't wait for the day when we actually have our own yard. For now we use both of his Grandparents yards. We are lucky we can do that! He is a busy boy and I definatley have my hands full right now. I go from one mess to the next all day long, when i wear out I just wait until he goes to bed to clean up. He is so curious and daring that he always has a bruise or scratch of some sort on his poor little face. He also is learning how to communicate...I am the only one that understands but I think it's so cute when he pulls me to the cupboard for a cracker or to the door to go outside. He keeps me on my feet! But i wouldn't trade it for anything. He's a sweet heart.

Discovering Chickens!

Cory was able to go see some baby chics a while ago! He did not know what to think about all of them. We went in the chicken coop and everything and that only made him even more weary about being blose to them. But he couldn't help but be fasinated by the little animals! I love watching him see and learn new things!

Cory's 1st Haircut

Yes Cory got his first haircut! He was in desperate need of one because it got so long on top! So cute. I could kiss that cute face all day! Oh wait...i do :)
